Essential oils – once known as aromatic oils – have been used for herbal and botanical medicines and remedies for thousands of years by many cultures around the world. The earliest evidence of essential oil usage dates back to 3000 to 2500 BC. It can easily be argued that the knowledge gained by studying the effects of essential oils on health formed the basis of pharmaceuticals.

Why It Was Developed
Canine Lyme disease diagnoses are on the rise especially in the 14 states where 95% of cases have been reported:
Connecticut Delaware Maine Maryland Massachusetts |
Minnesota New Hampshire New Jersey New York Pennsylvania |
Rhode Island Vermont Virginia Wisconsin |
While 95% of exposed dogs don’t get sick, they do become Lyme antibody-positive on tests. The remaining 5%develop symptoms of the infection, including:
Fever Lameness |
Lethargy Malaise |
Shifting Joint Pain |
These symptoms are quite successfully treated withdoxycycline which is usually well tolerated by dogs although there could be side effects. The most common being symptoms of GI upset such as vomiting and diarrhea. Be aware that tetracycline antibiotics like doxycycline can cause skeletal limb deformities in developing puppies in utero and pose potential risks for pregnant mothers.
Aunt Lyn realized that under the principle that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, she needed to develop a holistic preventive flea and tick formula that also helped keep annoying flies and mosquitos away. After years of trial and error, FLEA-TICK & BUG BE GONE was created. Since it does not contain harsh chemicals like some of the products available in the marketplace, it is gentle – and effective - to use on humans (the staff at Aunt Lyn’s use it).
